Knitted/Felted Diaper Bag by an Awesome Designer and Knitter
My friend Carol and I did a diaper bags project for a baby shower gift. I designed the pattern and did the felting and Carol machine knit the bag. Everyone at the shower thought it was an awesome diaper bag. If you go to buy a knitted diaper bag it will cost near $70 and we did the project for about $15. The mother-to-be was thrilled and she can use it for a fashion bags after baby grows. Since this has already had the hell washed out of it makes it totally washable in cold water. If anyone is interested in the machine knit pattern contact Carol. I do not machine knit, but the results are very neat and tidy. Go se the post on Craft Gossip and look over the give aways.

One Fine Yarn is the generous shop supplying the yarn and they deserve a huge thank you. It is not too late to join the first Noni pattern give-away. The Give Away ends Easter Sunday. So come and visit and join in the fun and check out all the other crafting columns.
Felted Flapper Hat, Designer Studio Lou Lou
Designing is what I enjoy the most. Repetition is not something that I take pleasure in. Looking at the latest extreme fashions is one of my weaknesses and I love trendy clothing and accessories that are featured in magazines like Vogue and W. You can’t help but fall in love with something new or an vintage style that is new again, like the flapper hats. When I came across the hat pictured I knew I had to try my hand at designing one similar. This is my design and I really like it. I crocheted it in fingering wool on a small hook in single crochet and then felted it. The feathers are somewhat different from the designer hat, but I believe they work.

Five Felted Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate
I just had to make The Five Little Pumpkins. These are crocheted, felted, stuffed, wet felted stems and then needle felted. I even made the wire gate and ended up with black sore hands. After suffering for the sake of my craft, I finally put on gloves and that helped. LOL The base is the foam pipe cover the I needle felted some brown roving over. The acorns came from my yard and the fall leaves I borrowed from a wreath. The spider webs are hot glue.
Five Little Pumpkins
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, “Oh my, it’s getting late.”
The second one said,”There are witches in the air.”
The third one said, “But we don’t care.”
The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run!”
The fifth one said, “We’re ready for some fun.”
Then “OOOOOO” went the wind and out went the lights,
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!
